Paul Garcia

Head of School

I am blessed to be Lori’s husband for thirty years. Together we have parented our two children, Kayla and Matthew, (SBES Alumni, now adults) and feel this has been our greatest accomplishment. “I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 1:4

Lori and I are grateful to have been part of the St. Barnabas community since 1989. Professionally, I have served as Director of Youth and Family Ministries (8 years), elementary and middle school Christian Education Teacher (22 years), PE Teacher (4 years – PreK-8th Grade), Assistant Head of School (8 years), and Head of School (7 years). It is a privilege and honor to work alongside Christ-like professionals who partner with parents and grandparents in the mission of nurturing a lifelong love of learning.

My chief role as the Head of St. Barnabas Episcopal School is to encourage parents, teachers, and everyone who plays an influential role in educating our children to keep the focus on trusting and glorifying God. By doing so, God will continue to provide for all of our needs every day. That’s how SBES has had the resources necessary the past 49 years for developing well-rounded, young, servant-hearted leaders who have a solid foundation of faith, virtue, and excellence.

PASSIONATE AND TALENTED FACULTY

PASSIONATE AND TALENTED FACULTY

Education is always our priority, and that includes ensuring that our teachers have at least a Bachelor’s degree in their academic discipline. Many of our teachers hold Masters degrees. Their formal education, along with peer mentorship and continuing education, helps them to be effective educators.

Our teachers have the experience and expertise to support varying degrees of student need. From supporting students with learning disabilities to providing accelerated programming to advanced students, our faculty and our academic student services department skillfully encourage excellence.
