Your first step as a family is to visit the school and have any of your initial questions answered during a tour. All students will be required to participate in an academic assessment, which is only one of the required elements for an admission decision. Other required elements include school records and teacher recommendation forms.

Yes, the school has a dedicated portion of its budget for tuition assistance. The school’s financial assistance can make the difference for a family being able to afford an investment in a private school education. SBES also partners with families whose students have a Step Up for Student scholarship, McKay, or a Hope Scholarship.

Drop off for all students begins from 8 – 8:15 AM. Our youngest PK4 students are escorted directly to class. Students kindergarten through eighth-grade begin the day with a sense of community by meeting in the Harwood Center for Pledge of Allegiance, prayer, and morning announcements led by our Head of School. Afterward, teachers guide students to class or a special area of instruction.

*Please note, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, some morning procedures may have changed.

Students go from St. Barnabas Episcopal School ready to participate in a variety of high-achieving programs in a variety of private and public schools. Regardless of the next location, a St. Barnabas student is well prepared academically and morally.

SBES has a wide array of athletic and arts activities for students to sample. For younger students, an emphasis is placed on skills development and participation. Students will have the greatest opportunity to participate in team sports starting in 3rd grade that includes everything from soccer, basketball, ice hockey, cheer, surf, volleyball, and more! Students can also participate in a chess club, elementary choir, middle school performing arts, and a bell choir.
