What We’re Grateful for as Another School Year Ends at St. Barnabas

The end of the year always makes us reflect on everything we’ve experienced together, and we are astounded by the overwhelming blessings we receive as a community each year. At St. Barnabas Episcopal School, we work hard to create a warm and caring environment for students where we all come together to pursue the highest level of education possible. We are so proud of what we achieve each year, but we also want to acknowledge that we couldn’t do it without the involvement of our community.

Gratitude is essential to who we are and how we choose to operate as an organization. This year, our gratitude list could go on and on, but they fit into four primary categories: family growth, support, and opportunity.

We Are Grateful For Family

The St. Barnabas family extends far beyond the students in our classroom. We count our teachers, parents, and even alumni as members of our family, and we know that we wouldn’t be where we are and wouldn’t be able to provide the level of education we do without every member of our family. We’re also proud and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your family. We are stunned at the incredible work parents in our community do to raise bright, generous, and thoughtful children and are so honored to walk alongside you.

We Are Grateful For Growth

You expect an educational institution to talk about academic growth, but here at St. Barnabas, we have the honor of watching our students grow in incredible ways. We are so grateful to watch them spread their wings socially, develop emotionally, and set down deep and personal spiritual roots. Growth is central to what we teach on our campus, and we are thrilled to see our students take that growth to make a difference in the world around them.

We Are Grateful For Support

The world feels tough right now for a lot of us. Sometimes our teachers and students feel like they’re fighting an uphill battle to stay productive and positive when tough conversations are being had all around them. We know that we can depend on our DeLand private school community to provide our students and teachers with the social and spiritual support they need to succeed. We have incredible parents who support their children’s academic success and our teachers with their prayers and even their time. And, of course, we would be remiss not to mention the financial support that we receive from donors that help us to provide academic scholarships and enhance our students learning with incredible resources and technology.

We Are Grateful For Opportunity

Finally, we are so grateful for the opportunity we have to provide education to students in a way that aligns with our values and to do so in a place where our students and teachers feel safe and secure. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the opportunities provided to us, and we are so excited to see what comes next.

At the end of the day, we’re most grateful to you. As we bid farewell to an incredible year, we hope you and your family enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating summer. And we look forward to us all coming back together next year feeling energized and ready to pursue the education and values that mean so much to us collectively. If you’re already a member of the St. Barnabas community, we can’t wait to see you again in the fall. If you’re still looking for the right DeLand private school for your family, contact us today!
