TERRACYCLE PROGRAM AT SBES

Our Terracycle program is in it’s second year of implementation, and I am proud to announce last year our school recycled:

  • 5,729 drink pouches
  • 821 lunch kits
  • 632 dental care items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss)
  • 602 shampoo, personal care & beauty products
  • 200 Entenmann’s Little Bites pouches
  • 14 Glue Bottles
  • 8 tape cores & dispensers

Our recycling efforts also raised $150 for our school.

My goal this school year is to raise $500, and in order to do this I am asking all parents, students, teachers and staff to again help us collect these items at home and at work. Items can be dropped off in the blue recycle bin designated for Terracycle outside of the front office. And again this year, we will continue to have a collection bin in the cafeteria and the kindergarten building to collect drink pouches & lunch kits from students during lunch time.

For a full list of items collected: [Click the Parent Guide below]

We have also paired up with some corporate sponsors over the past year, and have a Terracycle collection bin at the following locations:

  • Kennedy’s All American Barber Club, Lake Mary
  • Walmart Hair Salon, Deland

If you know of a business that could help us with our collections, and may also want a collection bin, please contact me, Jennifer Coen, 407-719-0884, or at jennifercoen@cfl.rr.com.

I look forward to another great year of recycling, and supporting St Barnabas (two of my favorite things).
