As the culminating activity to an outdoor garden project, our 2nd graders gave an awesome presentation about an ideal outdoor classroom at SBES. Students discussed how they measured the space and surveyed teachers. Students displayed a map and drawings of what the future space would look like. This would include worm and compost seedlings, a hydroponic garden, a buddy bench, a drinking fountain and sink, a covered pavilion and wind sculptures. They enjoyed learning from Sandra Lanier who is an expert in hydroponic gardens.
