Founded in 1971, St. Barnabas Episcopal School is a fully accredited private school located in the Historic District of downtown DeLand in Volusia County. The school serves 400 plus students in PreK3 through 8th grade. Our school educates students from Deland, DeLeon Springs, Lake Helen Orange City, DeBary, Deltona, Enterprise, Pierson, Daytona, Astor, Crescent City, Sanford, Longwood, and Lake Mary.
St. Barnabas Episcopal School was selected as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education. It is the only private school in Volusia County and the only school (public or private) in West Volusia to ever receive this award.
Emphasis is placed on teaching the whole child, which includes high academic standards, social-emotional support, spiritual training and character education. The challenging curriculum and close teacher-student relationships provide the students with the necessary environment to apply creative and critical thinking skills and reach their individual potential.

Volunteers are the foundation of our school’s daily operations. We are very blessed to have a strong Parent Advisory Council (PAC).
Whether helping at an event, assisting during school lunch, or sharing a special talent with students, our volunteers make a difference every day.
