Get Involved
Volunteers help us provide more opportunities for our students and volunteering is a fun and easy way to get involved with St. Barnabas Episcopal School. Your contribution to the school community is important and valued, and together we can help St. Barnabas Episcopal School provide more and better opportunities for our students. Last year we had more than 10,000 volunteer hours logged, and we are so grateful for the many parents and friends who give freely of their time and talents!
Getting started
We know that there are many volunteer opportunities at St. Barnabas Episcopal School, and have detailed them in this guide to help you decide which volunteer opportunities interest you. In addition to these opportunities, you will learn of classroom needs, such as, field trips, from your children’s teachers and classroom Room Parents. Each family is asked to volunteer at least ten hours a year for each student they have enrolled in the school. In addition, each family is asked to help with two PAC lunches a year for each student enrolled. When you see something that interests you in the Opportunity Guide (to be udated soon), contact the responsible person(s) in this document to obtain additional information about his or her volunteer program.
Please record your volunteer hours in the volunteer notebook that is in the office. Whatever you do, whether at the school, at home, or on a field trip, it is important for you to enter the number of hours worked into the notebook. This information is important for us because we include it in grant requests and award applications. It is an indicator of how supportive our parents are. Our parents have made a truly outstanding effort in their volunteerism!
Once again, thank you for making St. Barnabas Episcopal School so special!
