National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
The purpose of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage citizenship. Through the NJHS chapter service activities, members maintain and extend the qualities that won them selection. Membership is both an honor and a commitment.
How can I be in NJHS???
All Middle school students with an average of 93 or higher in their five main academic subjects are generally eligible to apply for NJHS membership as follows
- 8th Grade: 1st to 3rd quarter of your 8th grade school year
- 7th Grade: 1st to 4th quarter of your 7th grade school year
- 6th Grade: 3rd or 4th quarter of your 6th grade school year
Exceptional academic achievement or improvement may lead to a special invitation to join the NJHS.
