IN CLASS-

In English, we are still working on improving our expository essay writing skills.  Students are reading and scoring essays using holistic scoring.  We are also studying the Holocaust and reading the play, The Diary of Anne Frank.

In history, we are learning about World War II.  We are examining how the war started, how the United States first reacted to the war, and when the United Stated entered the war.  Students are encouraged to do extra credit presentations or projects on a particular battle.  They have until next week, 3/1 to complete the extra credit.

Students received their history and literature passwords.  This means the history book can be accessed online at www.my.hrw.com (students were assigned a password).  STudents can access the Prentice Hall literature and grammar books at www.pearsonsuccessnet.com.  Students need to register with the class access code given to them last week.  Let me know if there are any questions regarding these procedures.
